Technology Pivot: The company changes its existing technological capabilities or infrastructure. This can be done to provide more efficient processes, increase competitive advantage, or introduce products or services based on new technologies. A pivot process generally includes the following steps: Situation Assessment: The company analyzes its current situation, examines market trends and the competitive environment, and identifies problems or opportunities. Strategy Determination: The company reassesses its goals, customer segments, market position, and competitive advantages and sets a new strategy. Implementation Plan: The company creates an implementation plan to implement the pivot strategy. This plan may include resource allocation, personnel training, operational changes, marketing strategies, and customer relationships. Resource Management: Managing existing resources effectively is crucial during the pivoting process. This may include reallocating financial resources, assessing and restructuring personnel skills, asset management, and collaboration opportunities. Communication and Customer Relationships: During the pivoting process, the company must develop effective communication strategies to explain strategic changes to existing customers and stakeholders and involve them in the process. Ensuring customer loyalty and satisfaction, acquiring new customers, and creating a reliable brand image are also important. Monitoring and Evaluation: After implementing pivoting, it is essential to monitor and evaluate progress. Analysis of performance indicators, feedback, market reactions, and financial results can help evaluate the effectiveness of the pivot strategy and take corrective action if necessary. Pivoting can help a company adapt to changing market conditions and maintain its competitive advantage. However, the pivot process also involves risks. Challenges such as the likelihood of new strategies failing, loss of customer base, resistance from employees, and inadequate resources can be encountered. In conclusion, pivoting is a strategic transformation process that involves changing a company’s current business model or strategy.
